Robert Lee Duffey has entered into eternal life after 80 years on earth. He was born to Charles and Mary Duffey with a sister, JoAnn, waiting for him in their North Kansas City home. He attended NKC Schools and graduated from High School in 1956. During his young life he mowed grass in NKC and saved enough money to buy a new car when he was 16. He was an Eagle Scout. After graduation he began farming at his parent’s farm near Appleton City. He married Rosalie Spruytte in October 1956. They had seven children; Susan, Carolyn, Janice, Maryann, Philip, David and Mark. They also parented 14 foster children, have 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
