Scott L. Sterling, 60, passed away on January 11, 2024. Scott passed away after a long and struggling battle with COPD and other health issues he has battled for years. Scott was born in Salina, Kansas October 29th, 1963, the son of Donald L. Sterling and Marjorie M. Sterling (Rose).
Scott married the love of his life, Tammie L. Sterling in June of 1987 and created a beautiful family. Scott and Tammie lived in Rolla, Mo for 30 + years and had many friends they called family. Scott and Tammie always had a revolving door so to say for their kids friends and anyone that needed a place to just sit and talk for a while.
Scott loved fishing, hunting, floating on the river, watching football, and was always up for a road trip or an adventure. Most of all he loved his kids and then his grandkids. Scott was the absolute best Grandpa! There was nothing they couldn’t talk him into and he enjoyed every second of it!
Scott worked for Bruns- Doric Vault Company for years before his severe rheumatoid arthritis took over and he could no longer work. Scott always said it was his favorite job he ever had. It was always full of something new and interesting.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by, his wife Tammie, biological brother David Waterman and many uncles and other relatives. Surviving family members include his daughter Amber R. Watters (Sterling) and her family that includes; husband Richard, daughters Trinity Rose (13), Lily Dawn (6), and Chloe Magnolia (newborn). Son, Jesse Lee Sterling and his family that incudes his wife, Taisha Sterling. Sister, Sandy Bell and her family that includes: husband Mike, and daughters; Melinda ‘Mindy’ Slubowski and Stephani Lytle. Sister (Biological) Terri Walker and her family of North Carolina.
Scott knew the Lord and we are sure he was met at the pearly gates by many family members and reunited with his wife in the great forever. Scott will forever be missed and loved.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Rolla, Missouri sometime in the summer time of 2024, dates and times will be determined at a later date.
