I remember my brother-in-law as a rough-spoken, kind-hearted, teddy bear that would scare someone in a dark alley. He was just so tall and built like a big Swede! 

He shared my interest in flowers and gardening. He would buy me flowers and even help me plant shrubs in my backyard. If I had a vase of cut flowers on my kitchen island, he would notice and comment on them.

I will miss Steve's warm smile and his humor!! He would have a way to surprise you with a funny comment when you would least expect it. Steve had a fiery spirit but he would always forgive eventually. Steve was truely a unique individual and God is lucky to have him now. Rest in Peace, Steve.
