On Thursday, November 5, 2020, Vickie E Vaughn, loving wife, and mother of four daughters, passed away at the age of 70. Vickie was born January 30, 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri, placed into adoption and adopted by John and Jess Vaughn of Harrisonville, Missouri. She was a 1969 graduate of Harrisonville High School in Harrisonville, Missouri and attended the University of Plano in Plano, Texas. On January 26, 1972, she married Homer Lee Vaughn of Pleasant Hill, Missouri. Homer was a Sergeant in the Air Force stationed at Minot, North Dakota where Homer and Vickie established their first home. Vickie’s lifelong employment was as a full-time housewife, mother, and military wife. She was an avid music lover for all things Oldies or Classic Country. Vickie was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Belton, Missouri. She raised two daughters, Sandra Kay, and Laura Ann and upon the death of Laura in 2001, adopted and raised two granddaughters, Brandi, and Marie.
Vickie was preceded in death by her parents John and Jess Vaughn of Harrisonville, Missouri and a daughter Laura Ann Vaughn of Belton, Missouri. She is survived by her husband Homer, three daughters, Sandra, Brandi & Marie; Grandchildren Trinity and Tristan and a Great Granddaughter Luna Mae.
Funeral Services will be graveside in the Knob Noster Cemetery, Knob Noster, Missouri at 2:00 pm Friday, November 20. Flowers should be sent in care of McGilley & George Funeral Home of Grandview, Missouri.
