Edwin was my cousin. His father, Willard, and my dad, Eldon, were brothers and grew up in the Harmony community between Maryville and Ravenwood, MO. I was shocked and saddened to read of Edwin's demise. He was 7 years or so younger than I am so I expected him to outlast me. Through nobody's fault but mine, Edwin and I had lost touch with each other. I last saw him and Helen at my dad's funeral in Maryville in 1992 when my wife, my boys and I were still living in Alaska. I want to express my sympathy to his family and all those close to him. If I may be of assistance in any way please contact me at my email address. Eldon

WE STILL RIDE AND WILL THINK OF EDWIN THE NEXT TIME WE TAKE TO THE HIGHWAY. PRAYERS TO THE MURRAY FAMILY IN GETTING THROUGH THIS ROUGH TIME OF LOSS.

Edwin was always fun to be around at the fire department. There were always laughs and the job was always done. He will be missed by everyone who knew this kind soul.

I am so sorry to hear of Edwin's passing. He will be missed among friends, family and his firefighter family. He was a sincere person, and had a great love for those he cared for. I always enjoyed his dry sense of humor. He was a good person, and I'm happy he found Beth to spend his last years with.

Edwin (Willard) was one of the most loving people I have ever spoken to. His love for his family spewed forth every time he spoke when mentioning names. I recall talking to him online one day while he was helping me with a building project and he asked me to wait a few moments while he checked to make sure Beth had eaten something. She hadn't yet so we decided to talk later while he made them both something to eat. He made sure he took care of their animals and did whatever he could to make life easier for Beth, his friends and put himself last most often. Edwin will be sorely missed.
