He was born April 9, 1930 in Hinsdale, IL to Jerusha and Alvin Eggert. He was one of four children and is survived by his sister Patrica Woods and brother Richard (Barry) Eggert.
He served four years in the US Air Force and was stationed in Bitburg, Germany. After service and college graduation, he worked for Martin-Senour Paint Co. He then served as Vice President and Treasurer of First Claren Corp. in Naperville, IL. Finally, he was owner and proprietor of Al and Bill’s Tavern in Clarendon Hills, IL. He retired to Florida in 1987 to pursue his love of golf.
He is survived by his wife Angela Eggert; his daughter Ramona Stroud (Charles); his grandchildren Justin Stroud (Heather) and Lauren Stroud; and his great grandchildren Jackson Brand and Anna Franklin Stroud.
A Celebration of Life for Alvin "Jack" Eggert will be held on Tuesday April 2, 2024 at 11:30am in the Grand Oaks Room at Fero Funeral Home & Life Celebration Center, 5955 N. Lecanto Hwy., Beverly Hills, FL 34465. Followed by an Inurnment at Fero Memorial Gardens located at 5891 N. Lecanto Hwy., Beverly Hills, FL 34465.
