1949 - 2025
Born July 25, 1949, in Memphis to Mary and Robert Speed. Devon lived in Miami, went to Norland High School. Met her husband Dale in 1977, got married in 1983 in Aspen, Colorado. Lived in Miami till 1996, moved to Carbondale, Co and worked at Aspen Ski Co in retail at Buttermilk Mt and at Snowmass golf course. In 1999 she went to work full-time at River Valley Golf and rose to Office Mgr. and worked there for 13 years. Moved to Hernando in 2012. Loved to play golf, work out, and take care of the family Labradors. Devon Loved working in the yard, keeping a spotless house, was a fabulous cook, and an occasional trip to the beaches in Clearwater and New Smyrna Beach.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Speed and is survived by her son Mark McKay of New Smyrna Beach and her sister, Pam Speed of Social Circle, Georgia, nieces, Amber Steiger, Shannon Honce, both of New York, along with her husband of 43 years, Dale.
Celebration of life will be held at Citrus Hills Country Club on February 4 at 2 PM. 505 E Hartford St, Citrus Hills, Fl 34442
