Kaye was born in Triangle, Virginia to Phillip Joseph Getsie of Czechoslovakia and Dorothy Edna Smith of South Carolina on March 27, 1959.
She worked in the real estate title industry for many years in Citrus and Marion Counties. She had great love for her family and friends, swimming, and snow. Kaye was a passionate fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Kaye is survived by her husband of 27 years, Michael Morrissey, (daughter) Monica and (husband) Jacob Gonzalez of Homosassa Florida, (mother-in-law) Claire Morrissey, (grandchildren) Alythea and Justice of Homosassa Florida, her uncle Olan Vinson of Highlands, NC, her cousin Faye Davis of South Carolina, several nieces and nephews in Orange Park & Hudson FL, South Carolina and North Carolina, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law – Robert & Elizabeth Morrissey of Mill Spring NC, Ronald & Ann Morrissey of Flatwoods KY, and David & Freda Morrissey of Summerville SC.
She is preceded in death by her parents Phillip and Dorothy, sister Debra, father-in-law Robert, and her Aunt Lucy Vinson.
Kaye will be cremated by Fero Funeral Home, 5955 N Lecanto Hwy, Beverly Hills FL, 34465.
