Known for her positive outlook, compassion, generous spirit and wonderful sense of humor. Her life was filled with love, grace, and dedication to family. She enjoyed crafts, business ventures, teaching, reading, and gardening, but mostly she enjoyed people. She was quick witted, fun loving, gentle and kind and had a remarkable way of knowing just where her light needed to shine.
Catherine is survived by her children Margaret (Dave) Burton of Schenectady NY, Maryanne (Doug) Peddie of east Schodack NY, Maureen Allen of Citrus Springs FL, George Allen of Middle Grove NY, daughter-in-law Patty Allen of Boiling Springs SC, 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was predeceased by her husband George (Judd) Allen and son Richard Allen.
The family would like to extend their thanks for the compassionate care provided by HPH Hospice nurses and aides and to the friends whose visits meant so very much.
