David Fells, 83, of Inglis, FL, passed away on Sat., Jan. 3, 2026 in Hernando, FL. A native Paterson, NJ, David was born Nov. 20, 1942 to Frederick and Elizabeth (Miller) Fells, one of three children. Mr. Fells was a retired foreman and pipefitter with Public Service Electric and Gas in New Jersey and permanently moved to this area four years ago, leaving Mountainhome, PA in 2013, traveling around the country, including a period in Alaska, before settling in Citrus County. Dave loved fishing (anywhere), but spent many years fishing on the St. Lawrence River. He loved to drive and did a lot of traveling in his Dodge Ram pickup with his beloved wife Lois, who survives him. He liked target shooting and taught his wife and kids how to shoot… Dave’s perfect day would be floating around in his boat, with Lois tagging along, fishing anywhere they happened to be. In addition to his parents, Mr. Fells was preceded in death by his brothers, Frederick and Robert. David is survived by his loving wife, Lois A. Fells of Inglis, FL; daughter Karen, Hamburg, NJ; son Michael (wife Stacie), Sykesville, MD; stepson Donald Thornton (wife Kerry), Poulsbo, WA; grandchildren Gabriella Nicole, Sykesville, MD; Charli Alice and Selia Anna, both in college in Pullman, WA, and Nathaniel Eli, in college in Bozeman, MT.
