

Dennis was born in Brooklyn, NYC in 1942. Raised in Brooklyn, but spending summers in Lake Ronkonkoma NY, the family decided to ultimately settle in Lake Ronkonkoma where he attended Seton Hall High School in Patchogue and excelled at track and football. Dennis attended Mount Saint Mary's College, but decided to follow in his father's footsteps and was a proud NYC police officer for 25 years; 15 years as an officer in the 109th precinct in Flushing and then a member of the mounted unit in Manhattan for 10 years. Dennis was an avid horseman and true cowboy at heart who, after retirement, loved his time in Wyoming riding and herding on the open plains.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Tim and Marla Brown, his daughter and son-in-law Kelly and James Bogetti and his son and daughter-in-law Shea and Laura Brown, his 10 grandchildren: Kevin, James, Cooper, Kaya, Ethan, Elle, Baye, Evan, Hannah and Sophie and many others who fondly called him "Pop". He is also survived by his brother, Russ.
Dennis was preceded in death by his wife Merle Brown, his parents Joseph and Edna May Brown and his brother and sister Kevin Brown and Lorraine Brown.
A visitation with the family will be help on Sunday, November 20th, 2022 at 12:30 pm at Fero Funeral Home in Beverly Hills, FL. The visitation will be followed by a Memorial Service at 1:00 pm.
