

July 16, 2011, at HPH Hospice Care Center in lnverness, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rane and Thelma (Pease) Maxwell; a brother Robert J. (Lucy) Maxwell and a sister, Patricia (John) Loeschen. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judith (Meyer) Maxwell; his daughter Kelly (Ben) Parra; his son Robert Maxwell; his sister Jeanine (Dave) Freyling; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was born in Decatur, lL, on March 19, 1938. He graduated from Milliken University; served in the lllinois Air National Guard; and worked for IBM for 30 years. He was very active in local government, serving as the mayor and a councilman for the City of Wheaton, lllinois. He retired to Florida in 1995 and was an active member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church Men's Association and the Citrus Springs Golf Club.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 25, at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Eric Peters, Celebrant. lnterment will be private. Friends will be received on Sunday, July 24, from 2 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. at Fero Funeral Home, Beverly Hills, Florida. ln lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Don's name be made to HPH Hospice, 3545 N.
