Dorothy V. McLaughlin, 89 formerly of Dunnellon, Florida died in Ocala, Florida on Monday, February 1, 2016. She was born on Saturday, July 31, 1926 to Henry A. and Jennie Adelaide (Hughes) Riebau in Brooklyn, New York. Dorothy was a retired crossing guard with the Nassau County Police Department. She enjoyed golfing and reading.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband William Paul McLaughlin on April 6, 2011.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Rousseau and husband Donald of Amityville, New York; sisters, Eleanor Schaeffer of Dunnellon, Florida and Etta McNevin of Patchogue, New York and grandchildren, Caitlin, Timothy and Matthew Rousseau of Amityville, New York.
Visitation, Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Fero Funeral Home. Funeral Mass, Friday, February 5, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery.
