was born November 19, 1936 in Philadelphia, Pa. She was preceded in death by her parents,
Edward C. Bowe and Edith (Stewart) Bowe of Barrington, NJ; sister Rosemarie Murphy of
Lititz, Pa and Brother Daniel Brodhead of Sewell, NJ. Dottie was a homemaker and worked in retail sales.
She enjoyed shopping, playing cards with her friends in Oakridge, and enjoyed all the activities
and many friends in the New Jersey and Friends Club. Dottie is survived by her loving husband,
of 54 years, Ernest W. Polk, Jr.; daughters Linda Ramer of Roanoke, Va., Dana Polk of Burke, Va.,
Sheree Lesch of Yulee, Fl. and Kirsten Karnes of Mechanicsville, Va. She is also survived by her
seven grandsons, Curtis, Reid, and Mitchell Ramer of Fredericksburg, Va., Ross and Aidan Karnes
of Mechanicsville, Va. and Eli and Noah Lesch of Yulee, Fl. Private cremation will take place under
the direction of Fero Funeral Home of Beverly Hills, Fl. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be
made to Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, PO Box 641270 Beverly Hills, Fl. 34464. A private
Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
