Duane A. Miller

On August 11, 2015, Duane A. Miller passed away at The Hospice House in Lecanto, Florida. He was 77 years old. Duane was born in Black River New York and was the son of the late Verna Miller (Rusaw) and Douglas A. Miller and predeceased by his brothers Doug and Richard Miller.

Duane is survived by his wife of 57 years Marie, three sons Duane (Regina) Vancouver WA, Daniel (Jacqueline) Massena NY, Randy (Tina) Frankenmuth MI, brother Michael (June) Rusaw Massena NY, 9 Grandchildren (Chris, Joshua, Patrick, Daniel, Mark, Sheldon, Shandon, Erika, and Cody), 6 great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many friends.Duane grew up in Massena, New York, and worked as a Journeyman Die Cast Die Maker for GM Powertrain from 1959 until retirement in April 1993. He served on Seacomm Board of directors for 30 years where he held multiple positions including Chairman of the Board. In 1995 Duane and Marie moved to Florida where they enjoyed many happy years of sunshine. Duane served as a volunteer for Pine Ridge Crime Watch and a Hospitality Minister for Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Duane will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was a positive influence to all. He was an excellent husband, father, grandfather, and friend.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Alzheimer's Association or Hospice of Citrus County.
