He was born in Ellerson, Virginia to Herbet Lee and Pearl Elizabeth (Dean) Wicker. He moved to Beverly Hills from Gaithersburg, Maryland in 1990.
He was of the Christian faith. He was a volunteer with the Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center, the Red Cross, and a member of the Beverly Hills Civic Association and the Fishing Club. He was also a proud member of the local VFW post for 50 years. He enjoyed travelling, especially cruising.
He was preceeded by his loving wife of 43 years, Arline "Bette" Wicker. He is survived by daughter, Carol Lynne Ridgely and husband Lee of Taneytown, MD; son, Douglas Wicker of Gaithersburg, MD; sisters, M. Barbara Chenoweth and husband John of Virginia, and Bertha J. Hamilton of Florida; 3 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation here in Florida will be on Friday, January 23 from 2:00PM-3:00PM at the Fero Funeral Home, 5955 N. Lecanto Highway, Beverly Hills, Florida. Visitation in Maryland will be on Tuesday, January 27 from 11:00AM-12:00PM at Robert E Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, Maryland, with a Funeral Service at 12:00PM. Burial to follow at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, 900 West Central Ave, Davidsonville, Maryland.
