Evelyn Lorraine (Starkey) Christensen

A lifelong resident of Wilmington, Ohio, Evelyn recently relocated to Lecanto, Florida, where she spent the past year enjoying the sunshine and warmth.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Brian Marshall; her daughter-in-law, Sandy (Cherryhomes) Marshall; her parents, Isaac and Alice (Brown) Starkey; her brothers, Paul, James, and Isaac Starkey; and her sisters, Marquette (Starkey) Hadley and Martha (Starkey) Morrow.

She is survived by her sister, Maxine (Starkey) Current.

Evelyn is lovingly survived by the children of Brian and Sandy (Cherryhomes) Marshall; Jennifer Marshall, Dallas and Jessica (Marshall) Webster; and Justin Marshall; Dan Schmidt and his wife, Tina Austin, and daughter Rose Schmidt, all of Dallas, Texas; Tony and his wife, Carol, of Enon, Ohio, and their children, Nick and Taylor Anthony, Wayne and Ashley Marisco, and David and Haley Vazquez; and Mark and Tonya (Christensen) Underwood of Citrus Springs, Florida, and their children, Randy, Stacy (Chad) Taylor, Seth, Christian, and Gabrielle (Matthew) Firestone. Evelyn was also abundantly blessed with many cherished great-grandchildren.

Evelyn was a devoted believer in our Lord and faithfully attended First Church of God in Wilmington, Ohio for many years. Her faith was the foundation of her life and a guiding light to her family.

She was an enthusiastic fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and Ohio State University football. She rarely missed a game and could often be found cheering passionately from her living room.

A celebration of life will be disclosed at a later date for extended family and friends.

Evelyn will be remembered for her steadfast faith, her love of family, her warm spirit, and the joy she found in life's simple pleasures. Her legacy of faith and devotion will live on in the generations she leaves behind.
