

Born on May 31, 1935 in Detroit, MI, Faye grew up in and around Detroit. She was the beloved daughter of Ralph and Dorothy Johnson and was raised in a loving family alongside her sister, Christine, and her brother Robert (Bob), forming bonds that remained dear to her throughout life.
Faye devoted many years of her professional life to working as a dental hygienist. She was known not only for her skill and dedication, but for her gentle touch and reassuring presence. Her patients appreciated her warmth and kindness, and she took great pride in helping others feel comfortable and cared for.
In retirement, Faye embraced her creative side through sewing and embroidery, crafting beautiful handmade pieces that became cherished keepsakes for her loved ones. She loved to travel and enjoyed taking many cruises to destinations around the world, creating memories she delighted in sharing. However, her favorite pastime was shopping. Whether browsing local stores or discovering treasures while traveling, she found joy in finding something special.
Faye also took great pride in preserving family heirlooms, carefully saving and protecting meaningful items so that they could be passed down to future generations. She understood the value of family history and worked lovingly to ensure those memories and treasures would endure.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Dorothy Johnson, and her beloved sister, Christine Campbell.
She is survived by her son, Steven Wagar and his wife Cathy; her daughter Ruth Cogswell; her granddaughters Jennifer, Amy and Hollie Cogswell and Jacklynn Wagar; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Faye will be remembered for her quiet strength, gentle spirit, and adventurous heart. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and in the generations who will continue to honor her memory.
A private family service will be held to celebrate her life.
