Frances N. Fitzgerald, 67 of Dunnellon, Florida died on Thursday, April 19, 2012. She was born in Barbourville, Kentucky on Friday, September 29, 1944 to Cecil T. and Mossie Mae (Fredericke) Alford. Fran was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, enjoyed golfing, camping, boating on the Ausable river in Michigan and spending time with her family. She moved to this area ten years ago from Oscoda, Michigan upon retiring as a caterer.
Fran was preceded in death by her son, Harry Fitzgerald III; brothers, James Edward Alford, Robert Alford and Earl C. Alford and her sister, Leona Shaver.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Harry E. Fitzgerald, Jr. of Dunnellon, Florida; son, Dale Alan Fitzgerald of South Dakota; daughters, Cheryl Louise Fitzgerald of Ft. Myers, Florida and Michelle Susan Gaskill; brother, Thomas Pete Alford of Amhurst, Ohio and sisters, Joyce Sullivan, Cathy Houser and June Marichen, all of South Carolina.
