

Harry L. Mass, Sr., 79 of Beverly Hills, Florida passed away on Monday, April 1, 2013 in the loving care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County. He was born on Wednesday, April 19, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York to Harry and Christine (Hann) Mass. Harry was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during the Korean Conflict on the USS Lake Champlain, CVA. He first moved to this area from New York in 1973; then, to Williamsburg in 1984 and back to Citrus County In 2005.
Harry worked as the Senior Lead Host at Colonial Williamsburg from 1984 to 2005. He enjoyed operating his HAM radio, fishing, golfing and electronic and computer repairing. One of his passions was metal detecting. He volunteered on the Yorktown ship wreck project in Virginia under the auspices of John Broadwater. Harry was professionally trained in advertising and design and enjoyed sketching with pen and ink. Harry, is best described by his family; as a true Renaissance man.
Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Mass.
Survivors include his sons, Harry L. Mass, Jr. of Beverly Hills, Florida and Brian Mass and wife Brenda of Panama City, Florida; daughter, Jeannine Mayes of Florida; grandchildren, Robert, Brittney, Kristin, Melissa, Lonnie, Holly, Harry IV and Abbey and great grandchildren, Drake, Mariah, Taylor, Tommy and Isaiah.
Visitation, Tuesday, April 9, 2013 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM with Military Honors to follow at Fero Funeral Home.
