Ives Chavez

Ives was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Manuel Chavez Rivera and Marie Safarina Romero on 2/11/1943.

He attended school in Albuquerque, then worked in construction with his Uncle Ivis and became a Union Carpenter in New Mexico, Washington DC, and Florida. After years he then started his own Drywall Business. He loved his work building. Ives enjoyed his bowling and received many awards. His favorite pastime. He had a great love for his family and friends. Ives is survived by his amazing wife of 42 years, Sue Chavez. Daughter Anna Marie and husband Loyed Stanley of DeFuniak Springs, Fl. Son Benjamin and wife Jessica Chavez of Cedar Park Texas. Daughter Celina and Will of Rio Rancho NM. Stepdaughter Monique of Warrensburg MO. Sister Sophie and husband Larry of Albuquerque NM. Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews. Brother-in-law Cleto of Florence NC. Brother-in-law Johnny of Albuquerque NM. Brother-in-law Frank of Sun City Center Florida.

He is preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Safarina, son Ives Chavez Jr., Brother Ben Chavez, sisters Ruby, Gloria and Rufina.

Celebration of Life Will be held at Fero Funeral Home 8/15/2026 From 1:00pm-3:00pm at: 5955 N Lecanto Hwy, Beverly Hills Fl, 34465.
