My name is David Harrell. Jim Brent is my grandfather. Among the many fond memories I have of my grandfather, perhaps the most important is the witness to love I saw when my sister was sick with a highly contageous sickness. My grandfather, who was visiting my family during that time, spent ample time with my sister during those days. Walking with her, standing by her and even holding onto her, he truly cared for her. My grandfather placed his love for my sister above his own health and safety. When confronted by a family member that he might get sick by spending so much time with me sister, he furrowed his brow, smiled at my sister, and said if he did it would have been worth it.

May God rest his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed.
