Jean E. Peterson, 88 of Hernando, Florida died on Thursday, March 15, 2012 in the loving care of her family and Hospice of Citrus County. She was born on Tuesday, September 11, 1923 in Concord, Massachusetts to Orville and Grace (Bishop) Tucker. Jean was a retired buyer with Digital Corporation in Maynard, Massachusetts and moved to this area 25 years ago. Jean enjoyed knitting, crocheting, bowling and playing bridge. She was a member of the Citrus Hills Civic Association and the First Presbyterian Church of Inverness.
Jean was preceded in death by her son-in-law, David LaPointe and her sister, Ann MacGlashing.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Clarence W. Peterson, Jr. of Hernando, Florida; sons, Alan Peterson and wife, Karen of Maynard, Massachusetts and Eric Peterson and wife Marsha of Nashua, New Hampshire; daughter, Linda LaPointe of Hudson, Massachusetts and grandchildren, Randy and Stacy Peterson of Nashua, New Hampshire and Peter LaPointe of Hudson, Massachusetts.
Visitation, Sunday, March 18, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. with a Memorial Service of Remembrance at 2:00 P.M. at Fero Funeral Home.
