Jewel Kay Janssen Hasek

April 28, 1953 - December 19, 2023

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Jewel Hasek, who, at 70, went to glory in Heaven after bravely facing cancer.

Jewel and Donald shared 45 enduring years, crafting a bond as parents to Julia and Jackie and grandparents to Lena, Emil, and Linus. Jewel's love was our family's foundation, strengthened by the companionship of her brothers, Jeff and Jay. Jewel joins her Mother Mildred, Father Edward, and son Darin in eternal peace.

Jewel devoted herself to Bible Studies Fellowship and Moms In Prayer Int’l, where her leadership roles in Minnesota, Florida, and globally touched countless lives. She dedicated her life to share the gospel and the power of prayer with everyone she met, especially Mothers in need.

Beyond her global impact, Jewel and Don cherished travel, creating lasting memories from the Riviera to the Arctic, Sweden, Australia and Africa.

Jewel’s kitchen, a sacred space, witnessed faith and love through simple meals. From Chanhassen pizza classes to sharing cupcakes at Black Diamond, she believed in the meaningful connections formed around a table.

A service on December 28th at 10am at Seven Rivers Presbyterian will be followed by a remembrance luncheon at Black Diamond Ranch. Please wear blue in her honor. In lieu of flowers, donations to Moms in Prayer Int’l are appreciated.
