John was born on November 5, 1932 in Jacksonville, Fl. the son of John F. Scruggs and Marguerite (Bain) Scruggs.
John loved to kayak, loved nature and working in his yard at home. He served his country in the U.S. Army.
John is survived by his 3 daughters Esther Louise Joyner of Tennessee, Sharon Lynn Scruggs and her partner David Hayden of Crystal River and Elaine Corvidae of North Carolina, 1 sister Marcelle Bartlett of Crystal River, 1 grandson Nigel Grover of Japan, 1 granddaughter Amanda Lynn Hayden of Colorado and 1 great grandson Trystan Hayden.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast 3350 W. Audubon Park Path Lecanto, Fl. 34461
