Kevin Matthew Bubick was born in South Bend, Indiana, on September 4, 1958, to Raymond and Jane Bubick. On August 24, 2025, he left this world, but not without leaving behind plenty of laughter, stories, and memories that will echo for years to come.
He was a proud father to Joshua Bubick, Kirsten Martinez, and Jennie Koyama, and an adoring grandfather to Luci, Toni, Eli, Jessie Grace, Hartlyn, Calista, Jordan, and Jenna. Kevin is also survived by his brothers Michael and Joe, and his sisters Toni Coop, Lauri Herbert, Leslie Bubick and Ramie Axtell. His life was also blessed by the love of many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who felt more like family.
He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Raymond and Jane, and his nephew Anthony Bubick, who surely greeted him with open arms and a smile.
Kevin’s greatest gift was his sense of humor. He had an unmatched ability to light up a room and keep everyone laughing — often at just the right time, and sometimes at the “wrong” one too. His quick wit and playful spirit made life brighter for all who knew him. He showed us that laughter could carry us through the hardest moments, and that even in struggle, joy could always be found.
While our hearts are heavy, we know Kevin wouldn’t want us to sit in sorrow for too long. He would want us to remember the funny stories, the inside jokes, and the way he could make anyone feel at home with a laugh. In his honor, may we hold tighter to one another, share more laughter than tears, and live with the same humor and heart he carried every day of his life.
