Laura was born on December 1, 1952 in Rensselear, IN to Barbara (Phegley) and James Kamos. She attended North Newton schools. On August 11, 1972, she married Roger Godby, who survives.
Laura attended cosmetology school and was a beautician in Rensselaer for several years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and Solitaire; she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her loving husband, Roger Godby; daughters: Jill (Cory) Cripps of Guyton, GA; Britney (Joe) Sutika of Lakewood Ranch, FL; grandchildren: Makenzie (Conlan) McDaniels, Clayton Cripps, Alex Cripps, Kristin Jo Cripps, Charlotte Sutika, and Blair Sutika; great-grandson: Callum McDaniels. Siblings: Connie (Karl) Harris, Christie (Richard) Beattie, Doug (Vickie) Kamos, Amy Haworth, and Nora (Mark) Skinner.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Graveside funeral service will be held at Fero Memorial Gardens in Beverly Hills, FL on September 17, 2026 with Reverend Marc Woverton officiating.
