Lillian M. "Lil" Kelso, 80, of Inverness, FL, passed away on Nov. 27, 2012 at Legacy House in Ocala, FL. A native of Cleveland, TN, she was born April 11, 1932 to Charles and Beatrice (Leek) Durham, the eldest of four children. Lil, as she was known to many, moved to Citrus County, Florida 35 years ago from Fredonia, PA and was a lifelong homemaker. Mrs. Kelso was a longtime board member of the Blind Americans and was a avid bowler and also loved to dance, especially square dancing, a passion she shared with her late husband of nearly 50 years, John F. Kelso, who preceded her in death in 1997. Lil was of the Presbyterian faith and is survived by her children Wanda Slater (Donald), Citrus Springs, FL; Linda Wright (Kenneth), Fredonia, PA; Sandra Hahn (Perry), Watauga, TX; son-in-law Robert Krokker, Hernando, FL; brothers Charles Durham, Mentor, OH and James Ray Durham, Cleveland, OH; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Lil was also preceded in death by daughters Evelyn Krokker and Susanne Schearer; sister Christine Clere; two grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral service of remembrance will be held on Fri., Nov. 30th at 10:30 A.M. at Fero Funeral Home, Beverly Hills. Interment will follow at Fero Memorial Gardens.
