

Neal was born in Charleston, West Virginia, on September 7, 1957. He graduated from Buffalo High School and went on to dedicate his professional life to public service. Neal proudly served as a Law Enforcement Officer and later retired as an Electrical Foreman with the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons.
On September 14, 2010, Neal married Maria Walker, with whom he shared many years of companionship and faith.
Neal was preceded in death by his parents, Genevieve Davis and Sherman Elwood Walker. He is survived by his loving sons, Dane Walker and Troy Walker, and his beloved grandchildren Owen, Cree, Preyah, Seth, Ale, and Isa, who lovingly knew him as “Pa-Pa.”
He had a passion for bluegrass music, singing and playing the guitar. A lifelong athlete and avid sports fan, Neal grew up playing basketball and maintained an active lifestyle throughout his life. He loved running, biking, and completing triathlons.
He proudly supported local law enforcement and veterans and invested in the next generation as a volunteer basketball coach.
Neal deeply loved his sons, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. His greatest passion, however, was his faith. Neal loved God, loved people, and faithfully shared Jesus. Neal’s legacy is one of faith, service, and love. He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know him.
