Hi my sweet mom,
Today marks 8 years since you left and went to the arms of Jesus. Seems like yesterday and I miss you still so very much.  Your favorite flowers are in bloom and the fragrance brings you right back. If only.
How I wish I could hear your voice and see your always happy face. But I know truly you are in such a better place.  You are in my thoughts and my heart every day and love you forever.  One day I will see you again and you will tell me everything will be alright.

My precious little mom, it's been 5 years since last I saw your sweet face and heard your voice but it feels like you vanished from my life just days ago. They say that time is a great healer, but how much time?  I miss you as much as ever; feel just as lost; my heart aches still. Though I cherish all the wonderful memories I have of you, Mom, your passing left a hole in my life that will never be filled. I love you, Mom, and am comforted by the knowledge that I will see you and dad again one day.

Saturday morning - and I can't call you and it makes me so sad.  I wish I could still hear your always happy voice telling me everything will be okay.  I know you are happy in Heaven with our Lord and dancing a Polka with dad.  Missing you always so much.

Miss you so much, Mom, and I'm having a pretty hard time. I was blessed to have my sweet mom there to love, nurture and guide me for the first 64 years of my life, and I am truly thankful for that blessing.  But I'm still your "little baby girl", and I feel so lost.  I miss you so much.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

   I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your Mom. I have such fond memories of your family on Kimbark Ave.
On warm Summer days your Mom would be on the front steps talking to us kids and your Dad would be working on his old Plymouth. On Sunday mornings your 
entire family was in church at Southlawn Methodist. You did everthing
as a family with lots of love. Those 
good memories of your Mom & Dad will live with you forever and help you through the difficult times ahead.

condolences. You have a great Mom, she'll live on in your hearts forever.

It has been wonderful to know you Gram. Receiving your birthday and anniversary cards were always a treat as were the Christmas gifts because they were so sincere. I will miss those cards almost as much as the person who cared enough to write them. You will live on in our hearts as well as in the personalities of family who were inspired by you.

Sweet Lorraine , although I knew you but a short while , I truly am thankful for having been able to have that time. You were always very sweet to me , and had a wonderful smile while we were together. I'll miss your quick wit and jokes. And as I promised, I will always watch out for Neesie. Thank you for so warmly welcoming me into your family and life. May you rest peacefully in Gods tender embrace and His Kingdom.

You are and always will be the matriarch of our family.  A family of strong, beautiful, caring women!  With each of us you left a different piece of yourself with whom the traditions of our family will carry on with for many years to come.  You taught us all very well and I am quite certain that in the years to come we will find you are in some ways teaching us still.  If I ever have a doubt or wonder why or feel at a loss, I hear your sweet voice telling me things will work out, that there's a silver lining that I cannot yet see.  And I dasn't ask why?  As your standard response to such questions would always be, “Because Gramma said so”.   And that is always reason enough.  I am so very blesssed to have had you in my life for as long as I did.  I will always know you are with me, watching and guiding, and until we meet again, know that I love you so very much.

Hi Ma,
You know how much I miss you. You have been the glue for all of us on holidays. I will miss cutting down your tree this year and carving pumpkins with you because that is one thing we both enjoyed very much. I will always remember our walks through the forest preserve, picking up the fall leaves to press them in an album. I will miss our goofy little songs, like "witches on a broomstick", and "soup and sandwich". The one I was thinking about the other day was "It's a lovely day today.." You always had that happy sparkle in your eye and a perky, positive outlook on life no matter what. I will miss our talks and fun times but will remember them always and I'll be seeing you and dad again someday and we can sing together again. Say "hi" to dad and uncle and everyone for me. I love you now until forever! Thank you for being my mom.

Your image is an indispensable accessory to me; like a wallet or my glasses.  You have been the first person I call when I have good news or need advice or a shoulder to cry on and even a lap to sit on.  I know that talking to you will ease a worry or help me put a problem into perspective with your always positive outlook on life.  You have always known what to say or do because you have always wanted the best for me.  I rejoice that you are now at peace and in Heaven with those who loved you and have been waiting for your arrival.  I thank you for your unconditional love you have always shown and will miss you every day and every minute.  I love you, Mom

No one knows better than you, Lorraine, that I am a man of few words and am not good at expressing my feelings.  But you've been an important part of my life for 41 years, and you were there for me when I needed you most.  You have been my loving "mom #2" and I will miss you very much.

My sweet little mom. . . Do you know how much I love you.  As you look down from heaven, do you see the tears I cry?  I miss you so much, Mom, and will till the day when I can join you and Dad.  Until that day comes, I will try to carry on with my life in a way that will make you proud.   Your Mom was my "Aunt Lorraine" and is part of my earliest memories going back all the way to your old house in Chicago and ours in Freeport.  Your Mom and Dad were always both so kind to me.  She will be missed and you all are in my thoughts and prayers.
