Maria O. Mena

Maria (Zulemita) O. Mena, 83 of Homosassa, Florida passed away on the morning of February 11, 2017. She was born in Quito, Ecuador on May 02 of 1934. She was the third of seven brothers and sisters to Manuel and Rosita Lopez. She leaves her husband of 63 years of marriage and love of her life, Eduardo Mena of Homosassa, Florida. She will be missed dearly by her children Martha and Edward of Homosassa, Florida. Maria was a loving and caring grandmother and great grandmother to her seven grandchildren and two great – grandchildren. Maria and Eduardo moved to Miami, Florida from Quito, Ecuador in 1957 and then moved to New Jersey where they lived there for thirteen years. After a few years, they moved back to Miami and in 2002 they retired to Citrus County Florida. She enjoyed traveling, going to the beach and when spring came around she loved taking care of all her flowers. Maria will be greatly missed by everyone but especially her family and those who knew her sweet and kind ways.
