It is with great sadness we announce the passing of MaryAnn Gallo 65 of Citrus Springs, Florida. Mary passed away from a third bout with cancer at UF Health, Gainesville with her beloved husband of 46 years Jim Gallo and extended family at her bedside. Mary was born in Hammond, Indiana on January 12,1958 to her parents George "Sarge" Topa and Helen M. Topa. Mary was proud of her Polish Catholic heritage and her home town of Hegewisch, Illinois. She graduated from St. Francis de Sales and Illinois Medical Training Center. Mary lived much of her adult life with Jim in Custer, South Dakota before moving south to Florida. Mary cared for many as a medical assistant. Everyone who met Mary loved her. She was a great cook and loved to travel with her husband. Amalfi, Italy was one of her favorite destinations. She is survived by her husband James Gallo and Sharon Topa Augustyn (sister). She is proceeded in death by George Topa (father), Helen Kita Topa (mother), and George J. Topa (brother).
