Born on May 28, 1948, in Manhattan, New York, Mary grew up in Queens, where she began a life guided by faith, kindness, generosity, and love for others. Her faith was deeply rooted in her upbringing, inspired in part by her mother, Louise, who was also a deeply religious woman. Mary carried that faith throughout her life, saying her prayers every day and remaining devoted to her spiritual life and her parish, Our Lady of Grace.
Mary had a caring, thoughtful, and selfless nature, always putting others before herself. She loved her work as a pre-kindergarten teacher, where she had the opportunity to share her warmth and affection with young children. Beyond her work, Mary enjoyed going dancing with friends, attending plays, listening to music, and reading. She also wrote an autobiography of her life, preserving her memories and experiences for those who would come after her.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred, who passed away six years ago. She is survived by her daughters, Christina Pollina and Lisa Clouthier; her son-in-law, Jason Clouthier; and her cherished grandchildren, Gianna and Alexa Clouthier.
Mary will be remembered for her deep faith, generous heart, caring spirit, and the love she shared with her family and friends. Her devotion to God and her selfless way of living leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who knew her. Though she will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the love she gave will live on through the generations of her family.
May she rest in eternal peace in the loving arms of God.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Fero Funeral Home & Life Celebration Center, 5955 North Lecanto Highway, Beverly Hills, FL 34465, on October 23, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
A deacon will offer a blessing in remembrance of Mary and in honor of her life and faith.
Mary will be cremated.
