Mary Joe Wheeler

She is preceded in death by James A Wheeler Jr, her husband of 60 years, her father Richard Jackson, mother Minnie Byrd Meadows-Jackson, and older sister Jewell Koch. She is survived by a daughter, Noreen Burch and a younger sister, Carol Wright , numerous nieces, nephews and friends known to be like family.

She graduated with honors from Hillsboro High School in Tampa, FL, and then attended cosmetology school.

She married her husband "Jim" and traveled the world, as he was in the Navy for 20 years, after which they resided in Tampa.They adopted one child, Noreen, while stationed in Nice, France.

She enjoyed being a housewife and working as a waitress in a diner and later as a cashier in a small grocery store.They moved to Hernando,FL in 1974 and she worked in the Morrison's in the Paddock Mall.

She selflessly cared for her family. She loved sewing, baking, reading, crossword puzzles and her two white cats.

Most importantly she was a Godly wife and mother who loved the Lord and stepped out onto those streets of gold on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019. You are loved and missed!

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Fero Memorial Gardens, 5891 N. Lecanto Hwy., Beverly Hills, FL 34465
