Michelina 'Mickey' Mazzone Metz

Michelina 'Mickey' Metz, 84 of Beverly Hills, Florida passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2010. She was born in Manhattan, New York to Peter and Anna Marie (Scocco) Mazzone. She was retired after 22 1/2 years as a telephone operator with Southern Bell in Miami, Florida. She moved to this area five years ago from Hollywood, Florida.

Mickey was of the Catholic faith. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, enjoyed collecting dolls, liked to read and loved cooking and baking for her family.

Her husband of 60 years, Joseph Metz preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son, Michael Metz and wife Nancy Haynes of New York, New York; daughters, Diane Clawson and husband Tim of Kodak, Tennessee and Lorrie Amato and husband Felix of Orlando, Florida and son, Jim Metz and wife Tina of Beverly Hills, Florida; sister, Jean Starwaz and husband Edward of Garden City Park, New York; nine grandchildren and one great grandson and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation, Sunday, May 23, 2010 from 12 Noon to 3:00 PM with a Chapel Service of Remembrance following at 3:00 PM at Fero Funeral Home, 5955 N. Lecanto Highway, Beverly Hills, Florida 34465. A Graveside Service will take place on Monday, May 24, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens-South in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
