Nell was born in Nashua, New Hampshire to Albert and Victoria Misiaszek on August 27, 1923. She attended Nashua Senior High School and graduated in 1941. She married Donald R. Butler in 1949 and eventually settled in Vernon, CT. While there, she worked for New England Telephone before retiring and moving to Florida in 1985. Nell was a former member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and the Council of Catholic Women at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Beverly Hills. Nell enjoyed boating and traveling, sharing many adventures with her husband, family, and close friends. She was an avid animal lover and could always be seen holding one of her many dogs over the years in her arms. She had a lifelong love of fashion and took great pride in her appearance. Whatever the occasion, she was always impeccably dressed. Most of all though, she deeply loved her family and lived by the words “be kind, be generous, and follow your heart”.
Nell is survived by her two sons, Donald (Debi) Butler, Shawn (Laurel) Butler; her cherished grandchildren Eric, Lisa, Amber, and Nicki; and great-grandchildren Hailey, Jayden, Trent, Colin, Grant, Jordan, Jaylen, Julian, Lily, and Riley Nell; and her nephew Steve (Sharon) Wojcieszek. Nell was predeceased by her beloved husband Donald, her parents Albert and Victoria, her sister Jess and husband Eugene Wojcieszek, and her niece Nancy and her husband Bill Rurka.
A memorial service will be held at Fero Funeral Home located at 5955 N Lecanto Hwy in Beverly Hills, FL on Saturday, August 8 at 11:00. A light luncheon will be served immediately after.
Nell’s ashes will be interned with her husband, who was a highly decorated WW II veteran, at Bushnell National Cemetery in Brooksville, FL.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Nell’s honor to the Disabled American Veterans organization or your local animal shelter.
