Proctor E. Adams, Jr. of Beverly Hills, Florida died on Monday, August 20, 2012. He was born on Tuesday, August 29, 1922 in Framingham, Massachusetts to Proctor E. Adams, Sr. and Irene Johnson Adams. Proctor was a retired service department supervisor for Colonial Gas Company, formerly known as the Cape Cod Gas Company and retired after 36 years of service. He lived on Cape Cod until moving to Naples, Florida in July of 1987 and then to Beverly Hills, Florida in December of 1999. He was a veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict serving in the U.S. Navy. Proctor was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Cape Cod, enjoyed traveling throughout the world, loved to take care of the yard and tend to the garden.
Proctor was preceded in death by his son, Proctor 'Skipper' E. Adams, III.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Aleta Hitchcock Adams of Beverly Hills, Florida; sons, Curtis and Wayne Adams, both of Cape Cod; stepson, Craig Roseen of Connecticut; daughters, Allyson Adams, Heather Jonas, Cheryl Marrs and Patricia Thorup, all of Cape Cod; thirteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
