Bonnie, you may not even know who I am.  I am a first cousin of Larry Paul, Richard, Phillip, and Elaine, the daughter of Page's sister, Vera.  We haven't stayed in touch, but I have fond memories of playing with Rick and Phil when we were children, as they were near my age.  I don't recall ever meeting you, but I am sorry for your loss.  If you are ever in West Virginia, please contact me.  I would love to get together with you or any of the family.

Dear McCartney family.  Please accept deepest condolences from the Vera Pearl McCartney Young and Byron E. (Tater) Young family.  We may not stay in touch very much, but there always is a heart connection with family.  May the Lord bless and comfort you.

`I think I first met Rick when he was a young Major in the Ops division at the ANGRC. He and Col Jim Thomas were a pair who came to Charlotte to visit often and helped Col Bill Bundy and me put together a month long training exercise for the 145 AW in Europe. Later he preceded me by several years as the ANG/AFRES SOUTHCOM Operations Division commander in Panama and helped run the entire Central and South America airlift operations.  He was remembered at Howard AFB as the Colonel who built a better office than the Wing CC had at the time, thanks to his numerous contacts at NGB and throughout the ANG.  He was a true mentor to me when I took the position in 1995.  May your final flight be smooth with a greased touchdown!

Memories of Rick McCartney will always make me smile. Very much a "people person". A very dignified man, I learned a lot from him. My thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.

Rick and I were in the class of 1960 and members of Boy Scout Troop 133..  May he rest in peace..

Rick was loved by many and respected by all.  A true friend and mentor, Rick always had time for everyone.  He was a great officer and leader.  We played a lot of golf together and there was no finer companion. We miss his laugh and smile. Bonnie remains in our thoughts and prayers.

Bonnie, my thoughts and prayers are with you now.  You were Rick's angel caring for him.  Rick encouraged subordinates to reach their full potential and always made time to listen.  The Air National Guard is a better organization thanks to Rick.  I will miss you "pard".  May you rest in peace.
