Richard W. 'Dick' Moody of Citrus Springs, Florida passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013 in the loving care of his family at Hospice of Citrus County. He was born on Friday, January 26, 1934 in Danforth, Maine to Wendell and Marjorie (Bancroft) Moody. Dick was a Veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict, where he spent 2 years in Korea. He worked at Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, Connecticut and 30 years as a Rural Mail Carrier in East Hampton, Connecticut. Dick enjoyed hunting and fishing at his camp in Weston, Maine.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years, Jean (McKnight) Moody; son, Steven Moody and wife Jackie of Granby, CT; daughter, Linda Myers of Citrus Springs, FL; son, James Moody and wife Heidi of Marlborough, CT; brother, Wayne Moody and wife Mary Ellen of Janesville, Wisconsin; sister, Helen Warner and husband John of Salem, Oregon and grandchildren, Brett and Kraig Moody of Enfield, CN, Alexa and Allison Gattinella of New Britain, CN, Amber and Abby Myers of Citrus Springs, FL and Matthew and Becky Moody of Marlborough, CT.

Memorial Service of Remembrance took place on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Fero Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Citrus County or the Marlborough Ambulance Association, Marlborough, CT 06447.

Jean: Kay and I want to express our sympathies for the passing of Uncle Dick. As a boy growing up he was one of my heroes. Those trips to Connecticut and Maine always made for memorable moments. Whether it was driving too fast, looking for a bear near the road, taking the boat down the
gut, fishing until the boat was full of white perch or playing cribbage on a rainy day, Uncle Dick was always part of the action. I hope Uncle Dick finds some peace as he goes to another place. Thinking of all of you guys that Dick has left behind...
