Richard H. Sayers, 65, of Ocala, FL., passed away on Sat., July 6, 2013 at Legacy House in Ocala, FL. A native of Scranton, PA, he was born Sept. 22, 1947 to Henry E. and Ruth E. (Hoffman) Sayers, one of three children. Mr. Sayers was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, serving as an electrician aboard the USS CHARLES P. CECIL (DDR-835). Richard was also a member of the Ocala West Methodist Church and was Past Master of the F. & A. M. Masonic Union Lodge #479, Birdsboro, PA. He spent a great deal of his working life as the owner and operator of car wash and lube center establishments. He moved to FL. In 2001 from Douglassville, PA and is survived by his wife of 34 years, Donna M. Sayers, Ocala, FL; children Michelle Kling (husband Randy) and James Smith, both of Douglassville, PA; brother Robert H. Sayers, Dalton, PA; brother-in-law Joseph M. Ferrari, Scranton, PA and granddaughter Ashley Kling, Douglassville, PA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lois M. Ferrari, on Dec. 9, 2008.
