Richard E. Wheeler, 78 of Beverly Hills, Florida died on Wednesday, April 13, 2011. He was born on Sunday, April 2, 1933 in Defiance, Ohio to Berton and Vernata (Hefner) Wheeler. Mr. Wheeler was retired from the Chrysler Corporation Perrysburg Plant in Ohio. He moved to this area in 1992 from Pemberville, Ohio. Richard was of the Presbyterian faith, a member of the United Auto Workers Union and loved to fish.
Richard was preceded in death by his first wife Dolores and his sister, Virginia Ptacek.
Survivors include his wife Barbara Wheeler; sons, David Wheeler and wife Alice of Citrus Springs, Florida, Jim Wheeler and wife Kathy of Clarksville, Tennessee, Scott Wheeler of Citrus Springs, Florida and David Pilati of California; daughters, Linda Riffe-Curtis and husband Ron of Ohio, Brenda Culbreath of Georgia and Julie Culbreath of Florida; brothers, Berton Wheeler and wife Imogene of Ohio and Alvin Wheeler and wife Jane of Ohio; sisters, Viola Williams and husband Jim of Texas and Arlene Blackburn of Kentucky; nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
Inurnment will take place at a later date in Ohio.
