Rita was born in Moosup, Connecticut to the late Alexander and Anastasia (Lussier) Chattelle on September 25, 1924. She was the wife of the late Liberco Coutinho. Rita worked as the Secretary to the Superintendent for the Pawtucket School Department, Pawtucket, RI for over 30 years until her retirement. Rita loved to travel, doing crafts but most of all loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by all.
She is survived by her son Henry J Coutinho of Crystal River, FL, her granddaughters Tracie Luis (Joe) and Jennifer Wood (Ray), great grandchildren Courtney Wood (Brandon), Ryan & Jared Wood and Isaish Quilty. She was also the great great grandmother to Cayden & Hunter Agnew and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Linda Coutinho, her great granddaughter Kaylee Wood and her siblings, Cecilia Nastari, Emma Verraneault, Gloria Sanford, Wilfred, Alfred, Armand, Raymond and Norman Chattelle.
Funeral services will be held on Monday August 3, 2026 from 11:00-11:30 at Fero Funeral Home and Life Celebration Center, Beverly Hills, FL., burial will follow.
