Robert M. Mebert

Robert M. Mebert, 71 of Crystal River, Florida and formerly of Beverly Hills, Florida died on Wednesday, September 6, 2010. He was born in Brooklyn, New York to Michael and Anna (Zurek) Mebert. Robert was a retired stock broker on Wall Street and moved to this area 13 years ago from Connecticut. He was of the Catholic faith and served in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Mebert was an award winning stamp collector and a member of the American Philatelic Society. Deer hunting was his passion and he enjoyed archery.

His brother, Richard Mebert preceded him in death.

Survivors include his sons, Robert Mebert and wife Jessica of Seabeck, Washington and Michael Mebert of New York; daughters, Deborah Walker and husband Doug and Dr. Deirdre Pennington and husband Joe, all of Ocala, Florida; sister, Dorothy A. Balasa and husband Andrew of Crystal River, Florida; nephews, Michael and David Balasa; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Visitation, Friday, October 8, 2010 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Fero Funeral Home, 5955 N. Lecanto Highway, Beverly Hills, Florida 34465. Chapel service on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home with burial following at Fero Memorial Gardens.
