

Robert Roth, of Roth’s Flowers, Allentown, PA, passed away February 15, 2011, at Diamond Ridge Rehabilitation nursing home in Lecanto, FL. Formally of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Allentown, PA, he was 78. Born Wescosville, PA, on November 5, 1932, he was the son of Clarence H. Roth and Bernice (Hranyczka) Roth, founders of Roth’s Flowers. He was a graduate of William Allen High School in 1950. Upon graduation from Pennsylvania Military College, now Widener University, in 1954, he was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the United States Army and completed his tour of duty as a first lieutenant during the Korean War. He was vendor at Two Guys and associated in the family business Roth’s Flowers. He relocated to Fort Lauderdale, FL, where he retired.
He was preceded in death by Joyce (Christman) Roth (wife), Clarence H. Roth (father), Bernice (Hranyczka) Roth (mother), Fredrick Roth (brother), and Austin Jacob Grant Roth (grandson). Surviving in addition to his sister, Dr. Marjorie Love Roth of Allentown, Pa., are three sons, Robert Roth Jr. and wife Dr. Marybeth Roth of North Carolina, James Roth and wife Lisa of Tennessee and Grant T. Roth and wife Frieda of Citrus Springs, Florida; granddaughters, Amanda, Alyssa, Nichole, Christina, Jamie, Danielle, Ashley and Sierra; two nephews, Douglas Roth and wife Kathy of NJ, and Andrew Roth and wife Teresa of Indiana; one niece, Lisa Ellen Roth of Bethlehem, Pa.; and an aunt, Mary Hranyczka of Maine.
