WILLOUGHBY, Shannon R. 81 of Hernando Fl. passed away July 4, 2013 at Seven Rivers Hospital. A native of Evansville, In. she came to the area in 1972 from Pompano Beach, Fl. She was an active member of Hernando Church of the Nazarene. Shannon graduated in 1953 Nursing School-Deconess Hospital in Evansville, In. and was a post-graduate of the University of South Florida and St. Leo College. Mrs. Willoughby remained active in the Marion-Citrus Chapter of the RNR.

Mrs. Willoughby was predeceased by her son Michael in 1994 and she is survived by her husband of 60 years Archie J. Willoughby;3 daughters Julia Brown of Hernando, Fl. Carol Lossing of Ocala, Fl. and Laura Thomas of Hernando, Fl.; 2 brothers Walter Branson of Des Moines, IA and David Barr of St. Louis, Mo.; sister Susan Barr of St Louis, Mo; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday 11:00 AM at Hernando Church of the Nazarene, 2101 N. Florida Avenue Hernando, FL 3444. In lieu of flowers donations may be made The American Heart Asoc. PO Box 840692 Dallas TX 75284-0692 in memory of Shannon.
