Shirley W. Henriksen

Shirley W. Henriksen, 91 formerly of Beverly Hills, Florida passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2016. She was born in Los Angeles, California to Charles Wright and Nina (Horne) Cunningham on Friday, January 2, 1925. Shirley was a retired register nurse and moved to Beverly Hills, Florida in 1986 from Massopequa Park, New York and then to Gainesville in 2004. She was a founding member of Shepherd of the Hills Episcopalian Church, where she participated in the alter guild, project share and volunteered in many other areas for the parish. She enjoyed quilting, painting, traveling and was an avid reader.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Henriksen and by her sister, Nancy Holtzman.

Survivors include her daughters, Lea Mignone and husband Ed of Gainesville, Florida and Della Swartz and husband David of Chugiak, Alaska; brother, Brian Cunningham and wife Gail of Deary, Idaho; sisters, Kay Randall of Angels Camp, California and Sandy Watson and husband Val of Cupertino, California and grandchildren, Laura and Steven Mignone both of Orlando, Florida, Maria Mignone of Gainesville, Florida and Gail, Erik and Melody Swartz all of Alaska.

Visitation, Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 11:00 AM with a Chapel Service at 12 Noon at Fero Funeral Home. Graveside Service will follow at Fero Memorial Gardens.
