Suzanne Vivian, 63, of Crystal River, Florida, born to Charles and Anna Hempenstall on April 7, 1963, went to be with our Lord and Savior on May 15, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Sue fought hard and never gave up. She carried hope, strength, and faith in God in her heart until the very end.
Sue married Jeff, the love of her life, on September 10, 1983. Their marriage was truly special, and the love they shared was evident to everyone around them. Together they built a beautiful life and raised three wonderful daughters. While vacationing in Florida with their young family, Sue and Jeff fell in love with the sunshine and lifestyle, and in 1998 they made Florida their permanent home.
Sue loved deeply and gave generously. Family and friendships meant everything to her. She was a dear friend to many and welcomed everyone into her home with warmth and open arms. For many years, her home was the gathering place for family and friends, always filled with laughter, good food, and memories that will be cherished forever.
Having grown up vacationing on a lake, Sue’s love for sunshine and water stayed with her throughout her life. She was happiest on a beach or out on a boat. Sue and Jeff traveled together to many tropical destinations over the years, creating countless cherished memories. One of their favorite places was Montego Bay, where they vacationed often and found great joy and peace together.
Sue is survived by her loving husband, Jeff Vivian; her daughters, Tiffany Rowthorn, Amanda Lamb (Justin), and Jacqueline Rocheleau (Randy); her brother, Doug Hempenstall (Karen); her sister, Diane Tebo (Wayne); her stepfather, Robert Borngesser; her stepmother, Marilyn Hempenstall; and her eight beloved grandchildren, Kylie Curry (Dalton), Kaylah Rowthorn (Howie), Keegan Rowthorn, Konner Rowthorn, Levitt Lamb, Tripp Lamb, Emma Rocheleau, and Mason Rocheleau. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Laura Vivian and Cheryl Vivian, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear lifelong friends.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Anna Borngesser and Charles Hempenstall, as well as her in-laws, Robert and Thomasine Vivian.
Funeral services will be held at Fero Funeral home, Thursday, May 21st, 2026, at 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice in Sue’s memory.
Sue’s love, strength, kindness, and unwavering faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
