Wendell H. Slitor, 87 formerly of Beverly Hills, Florida passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2011 in Bedford, Texas. Wendell was born in Fairport Harbor, Ohio on Friday, July 13, 1923 to Edward and Beatrice (Parker) Slitor. He was a retired Director of Sales and Purchasing in the coffee industry. Mr. Slitor was a member of Beverly Hills Community Church, the VFW, Elk,s Moose Lodge, Pine Ridge Golf and Country Club and the Beverly Hills Recreational Association.
Wendell was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor I. Slitor.
Survivors include his daughter, Candace Cawley and husband Chuck of Bedford, Texas; son, Douglas Slitor of Reston, Virginia; sisters, Evelyn Yager of Painesville, Ohio and Muriel Relic and husband Nick of Liverpool, New York; grandchildren, Abbey, Ben and Riley Slitor and Megan, Laura and Sara Cawley and great granddaughter, Kaela Sosa.
Visitation, Friday, July 22, 2011 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. with a Chapel Service following with Reverend Stewart Jamison, III officiating at Fero Funeral Home, 5955 N. Lecanto Highway, Beverly Hills, Florida 34465. Interment at Fero Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
