

William (Bill) Leon Emond, 81, of Citrus Springs, FL, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on July 24, 2025. He was born in Kingman, Arizona on April 26, 1944, son of Leon and Marion (Harwood) Emond. He is survived by his loving wife Kathleen (Siecienski) Emond, children Andrew C of Ludlow, MA, Robert P, Jerimiah P and Madison M, his brother Richard Emond of New London, CT and his brother-in-law Edmund Siecienski of Beverly Hills, FL. Proceeded by his sister Mary Ann Bush, of Meridan, CT.
A US Marine Veteran, Bill received two purple hearts for his service in the Vietnam War. He was a life-time member of Post 4864 of the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) and the DAV (Disabled American Veteran’s). Bill worked for the International Silver Company out of Meriden, CT and is a retiree of the US Postal Service (Ludlow, MA). He was very active in his community, serving as the Head of the Citizens on patrol of Citrus Springs, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and the President Emeritus of the Men’s Guild of St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Church.
A funeral mass will be held on August 13, 10:00 am, at St Elizabeth Ann Seaton Church in Citrus Springs, FL followed by a private burial on August 16 in Middletown, CT.
