William R Homan, Jr., 57, of Dunnellon, FL, passed suddenly on August 19, 2022. He is survived by his beloved wife, Olivia Homan (nee Morales), his mother, Maryann M. Homan, and his sisters, Kimberly Homan and Jennifer Pendleton, as well as many dear family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, William R. Homan Sr.
Bill grew up in Wood Dale, Illinois and graduated from Fenton High School in Bensenville, Illinois. He worked most of his life as a dispatcher for various companies which he enjoyed and took pride in. Bill loved maps and had a natural sense of direction that made him great at dispatching.
Bill married Olivia in 2009 and together they moved from Crest Hill, Illinois to Dunnellon, Florida. They created a lovely home on a beautiful property, surrounded by trees and water. He always loved the peace of nature and the beautiful gardens his wife created.
Bill was a loving and generous husband, son, brother, and friend. He kept us all laughing with his dry sense of humor and “Bill-isms”.
Bill, in his passing as in life, helped others in a final act of donation. He donated his corneas and tissue to help others keep their vision or recover from severe burns. He will be a blessing to strangers, just as he was to his loved ones. He will be immeasurably missed.
There will be a private family service, then he will be cremated. Some ashes will be scattered in the pond of his Florida home that he loved.
